About the Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club Flags for Heroes

Celebrating 100 Years - 1926-2026

  • Honor your personal hero by sponsoring a flag with a tax deductible $50 donation.
  • Over 500 American flags will be displayed in Georgetown on The Circle, at Delaware Technical Community College, and in Millsboro across from the Post Office, at the Post Office, at Town Hall, the east entrance of town and the Millsboro Police Department.
  • Delaware Flags will be displayed in the same locations on December 7th.
  • Flags will be displayed the week before and the week after Memorial Day, July 4th and Veterans Day.
  • In the last twelve years the proceeds from this project have provided over $241,000 to support a variety of local community projects. These include college scholarships, grants to community organizations that provide direct support to those in need, Easter Seals Camp Fairlee campership, scholarships to the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Conference (RYLA) and much more.

Sponsor your heroes

Honor active-duty military, veterans, police, firefighters, first responders, or other heroes, by sponsoring a flag. Over 500 American flags will be proudly displayed in seven locations in Georgetown and Millsboro the week before and the week after Memorial Day. Proceeds support local youth programs, scholarships, and Rotary’s community projects.
